Being an Outlaw is a true blessing that one cannot understand unless they have the opportunity to experience it!
My husband, Hank Tillian, and I married May 27, 2016, in Marlow, OK. Hank is a retired educator from Marlow Public Schools and spent his career working with the students of Marlow. We enjoy travelling and seeing our country. We are so excited that we have gotten our first grandchild, Scarlett Kate Skokowski, in March 2017!
I brought two daughters and one wonderful son-in-law to our marriage. Both daughters graduated Marlow High School and Oklahoma State University. Brandi is assistant principal at Piedmont Intermediate School and her husband, Adam Skokowski, is head varsity baseball coach and computer teacher at Piedmont High School. Their first child, Scarlett was born March 21, 2017!
Daughter, Brittani, teaches leadership and is Student Council adviser and FCCLA adviser at Putnam City North High School. Prior to teaching, Brittani was State Director of FCCLA for Nevada and Oregon travelling extensively around the U.S. Brittani was married on June 2, 2017, to Jake Phillips! Jake teaches HS mathematics and coaches varsity girls basketball and softball at Newcastle High School.
Our entire family is education focused. In fact, it can be easily said it is the “family business”. We are all very serious about educating the youth of Oklahoma and ask that you keep us in your thoughts as we continue to follow our passions in this state economy!
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time travelling with Hank. We ALWAYS enjoy time with Scarlett and our families and we love to try new restaurants. I enjoy reading and crossword puzzles, and I love to read cookbooks and try new recipes. I truly just love life. I am very blessed!
In August, 2019, we will celebrate my Mother’s 92nd birthday. She has witnessed many changes in the world during her lifetime and when she and I visit about education today, she cannot imagine what the modern classroom is even remotely like since she attended the “one-room” school house of days gone by. However, she is very proud that in our immediate family there are 14 educators to date.
