About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Duncan High School/ EDGE Academy, 2000

I graduated from University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, 2010

Degrees and Certifications:

I have Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Natural Science with a minor in Chemistry.

Current Position:

I started down the teaching path in December of 2020 when I applied for the Alternative Placement Program through the Oklahoma State Department of Education. In January, I began substituting at the Marlow HIgh School and the Red River Vo-Tech. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to be with students in both communities every day. In April of 2021, I was offered a position with the Marlow Middle School teaching 7th grade science and quickly accepted! I am super proud to be a Marlow Outlaw, there is no other place I would rather be!

Previous Position:

Prior to teaching, I had been working in the oil and gas industry as a chemist for the past ten years. In January of 2020, I was asked to move to Houston for the second time in my career and I chose to stay here and find a new career path. I love my community in Marlow and am thankful to have the opportunity to work for the school and continue to live and grow in this wonderful town!

Family Information:

My son, Isaiah, was the shining light of my life. We bought a house here in the summer of 2015 and he attended Marlow Public Schools his 4th, 5th, and most of 6th grade year. Tragically, he died in an accident, February 2nd, 2019, sending shockwaves through several communities. His classmates are freshman this year and he will always be a part of the class of 2025. In his honor, there is a scholarship that will go to one of his classmates for college. This student will be chosen by their character, future endeavors and will exemplify the spirit of Isaiah. His legacy lives on in all of our hearts. He is missed beyond words but we know we will see him again on that fateful day. There is a bench in his memory on the middle school playground and his friends all wear his bands and number proudly. ISAIAHSTRONG, #30forlife, #onceanoutlawalwaysanoutlaw

Personal Information:

In my spare time I like to spend time outdoors in nature, whether hiking, running, or walking my two beagles Zorra & Boomer. I also love to cook, bake, and am a total foodie! I spend time each day reading my Bible and try my best to live my life in a way that brings glory and honor to my Father in Heaven!
