Elementary Music
I was home schooled from grades K-12 and went on to attend the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. I graduated college during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I am a member of the Oklahoma Music Educator’s Association, the National Association for Music Education, and Professional Oklahoma Educators.
This summer I attended Shine! The John Jacobson Workshop.
I am going into my third year of teaching general music at Marlow Elementary School and serving as the choral accompanist for Marlow Vocal.
I have been an Outlaw since the first day of my teaching career. Prior to that, I student taught at Pioneer Public School in Chickasha and at Alex High School, where I helped with distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In October of 2021, I married my longtime best friend, Aaron. We live in Chickasha and have lots of plants. Together, we enjoy doing autocross, playing instruments, and watching black and white movies. We are big fans of The Office, The Witcher, and Lord of the Rings.
When I’m not teaching at school, I teach piano lessons and direct the choir at First Baptist Church of Chickasha. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, organizing, drinking coffee, and taking kickboxing classes.
